Digital Naturalism
In this introductory course to Maya I began by creating an object, composed of multiple parts, almost encroaching into one another. From afar, it appears as a cohesive form, but as one approaches, the various parts appear, further emphasised with the different materials. The objects appears to be caught in a dynamic state of a rocking movement. This dynamic nature of the form was later adopted to the final project, an atypical shelter. Here, the dynamic, rocking nature, was also translated to the ground creating a constant exchange between the ground and the shelter allowing for a unifyied design.
